There is no substitute for experience

Experienced Representation From A Hometown Lawyer

Divorce affects significant areas of people’s lives, including the amount of time they spend with their children and their finances. During this stressful time, an experienced and candid family law attorney can help set you at ease, while delivering the representation you require.

I am attorney David A. Carroll, and I have represented people during their family law disputes for more than 25 years. My office is located in the Florida Panhandle, where I have lived my whole life. My staff and I are dedicated to ensuring my clients are informed about the process and fees involved. We offer experienced representation and focus on pursuing the best results for our clients. I am also licensed to practice in the state of Arkansas.

Often, resolving issues in a divorce can be significantly more cost-effective, efficient and less stressful when parties work together, through their attorneys, to reach individualized and unique agreements through negotiations or mediation. When possible, I encourage people to resolve their issues, their concerns, but when we can’t reach a reasonable agreement, then I will aggressively fight for their interest. I always ensure that my clients’ interests are protected no matter what method of resolution they prefer. I handle a broad range of divorce issues, including:

  • Child custody
  • Child support
  • Alimony
  • Prenuptial and postnuptial agreements
  • Modifications

Contested and Uncontested Divorce

My Florida office handles both contested and uncontested divorces. At my office, an uncontested divorce process gives both parties a chance to create a settlement agreement that suits their needs. It is a cooperative process. If my client and I propose a draft agreement, and the spouse changes the proposal, it is still an uncontested divorce. It just means we are still in the negotiation phase of the process. Only when the process needs court intervention does a divorce become a contested divorce.

Escambia County Military Divorce Lawyer

The issues involved in a military divorce can be especially complex, often involving military retirement issues, retirement benefit distribution, SPB and health care benefits, insurance disputes, child custody issues, child relocation and rights under the Soldiers and Sailors Civil Relief Act. I help service men and women and military spouses protect their rights. My office works with people at the Pensacola Naval Air Station and people all over the world. Often, I arrange for my clients to attend court hearing by phone when it is too difficult to be there in person for their court hearing.
